How this works — plainly
This is the one place on the site that collects information, and it only collects what you enter here. When you finish, we send your inquiry to a licensed workers' compensation attorney (or firm) that handles cases in your state, so they can offer a free consultation. Participating firms pay us for these introductions — that's how the free education on this site stays free. They don't pay for outcomes and we take no share of any recovery; your deal, if you choose to hire anyone, is directly with the firm under your state's regulated fee rules (typically 10–25%, judge-approved).
What to expect on the call
A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment. Good preparation is exactly what this site teaches — your deadline dates and Confidence Score answers make you the most prepared caller they'll get all week. And "no thank you" is always available; a firm that pressures you on a free call is telling you something useful.
That's fine — nothing here requires it. The Do I Need a Lawyer? check is an honest, pressure-free way to figure out whether your situation is one people usually handle alone.
