Terms of Use & Disclaimer

The terms — short, because the site is free.

Using workinjurypayout.com means agreeing to these terms. They exist mostly to say one thing clearly, three different ways: this site is education, not legal advice.

Effective August 2026

1. Education, not legal advice

Everything on this site — guides, state pages, tools, calculators, the glossary, videos and transcripts — is general educational information about how workers' compensation systems work. It is not legal advice, is not tailored to your situation, and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney in your state. Workers' compensation law differs significantly between states and changes over time; despite careful research and dated reviews, we cannot guarantee that any statement is current or applies to your circumstances.

2. No attorney-client relationship — and how we make money

Work Injury Payout LLC is not a law firm. Reading this site, using its tools, emailing us, or submitting the Free Case Review form does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone — that can only happen directly between you and an attorney you choose to hire. Our business model is simple and disclosed: licensed law firms pay us for introductions made through the Free Case Review form (this is attorney advertising). You never pay us anything, we receive no share of any recovery, participating firms don't influence our educational content, and a firm paying for introductions is not an endorsement of that firm — evaluate any lawyer on the free consultation itself.

3. Deadlines are on you (and we've tried to help)

Our Deadline Checker and state guides describe general statutory windows with honest caveats — but exceptions run in both directions, your facts control which apply, and only your state agency or a licensed attorney can confirm your actual deadlines. Never let a date on this site be your only source for a filing decision, and never treat a "window passed" result as a reason to give up rather than a reason to act immediately.

4. The tools are teachers, not appraisers

Calculators on this site use illustrative math to teach how benefits and settlements are structured. They do not value your claim, and no output of any tool is a representation about what you are owed or will receive. Tool data you enter is stored only on your own device (see the privacy policy) — safeguarding your device is your responsibility.

5. Provided "as is"

The site is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Work Injury Payout LLC and its contributors will not be liable for any damages arising from use of, or reliance on, the site — the remedy for dissatisfaction with a free educational site is to stop using it, and the remedy for legal uncertainty is a licensed attorney.

6. Acceptable use & content

You may read, link to, and share this content freely for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes with attribution. Don't scrape the site to build misleading derivatives, republish it as your own, or use it to send spam or solicit injured workers deceptively. Trademarks including the framework names (First 24 Hours Framework™, Claim Confidence Score™, Settlement Readiness Checklist™, Medical Visit Blueprint™) identify this platform's original works.

Links to state agencies and other resources are provided for convenience; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.

8. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions: hello@workinjurypayout.com.
